WATCHDOG REMOVES DEKA INSURANCE FROM REGISTER

The national commission for financial service markets regulation of Ukraine has removed private joint-stock company Deka Insurance (Kyiv) from the unified register of financial institutions, as the company’s license was annulled.

According to commission resolution No. 21 dated January 12, 2017, the registration certificate of the company was also annulled.

On November 22, 2016 the regulator annulled licenses of the company, as a person authorized to represent its interests was not present at the place where the company is located during an off schedule inspection. The commission annulled 12 licenses of the company.

Deka Insurance was founded in April 2006. According to the register of companies, almost 100% of shares of the insurer belong to Cyprus-based Alaksia Holdings Limited. The ultimate beneficiary of the company is Tania Bichakdzhan.
