UNIQA INSURER POSTS 20% RISE IN ASSETS IN 2016

Kyiv-based UNIQA insurance company had UAH 1.164 billion of assets at the end of 2016, which is 20% more than as of December 31, 2015.

According to the materials to the agenda of the general meeting of the company’s shareholders scheduled for March 2, its net profit was UAH 85.206 million in 2015, and this was 46.7% less than in 2015 (UAH 159.7 million).

Net worth grew by 12%, to UAH 404.098 million. Charter capital did not change, being UAH 155.48 million.

Debts grew by 67.8%, to UAH 96.438 million. Cash and equivalents plunged by 73%, to UAH 17.601 million.

The company saw a 5.8-fold rise in noncurrent liabilities, to UAH 398.638 million, while current liabilities rose by 44.2%, to UAH 210 million.

The number of employees fell by 42, to 927 people.

UNIQA insurer was founded in 1994. It joined UNIQA Group Austria in 2006.

UNIQA and UNIQA Life, headquartered in Kyiv, offer more than 90 types of insurance services (all kinds of risk and life insurance) through its nationwide network. Almost 1,000 employees serve about 1.2 million insurance policies.
