On February 12 at National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets was held round table to discuss issues of economic security for insurance companies and insurer’s awareness to create technological barriers to attempts for misappropriation of funds of insurance companies.

The meeting was opened by Alexander Zaletov, Member of the National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets, who said that in the near future to increase the limits of liability and the maximum amount of insurance payments for the procedure of “Euro protocol” for contracts MTPL, problem of insurance fraud in the insurance market of Ukraine will become even more urgent.

Antonina Palamarchuk, Chairman of First Ukrainian Bureau of Credit Histories, briefed the participants of the round table with work of bureau, the experience of European countries and stressed that “today’s insurance market is at a new stage of development and, unfortunately, none insurance company in the world can resist fraud financial schemes that become part of the criminal world.”

The presentation “Overview of products, technological solutions and benefits system” Poshuk”, providing insurers the information needed to make business decisions” made by the project manager Oleg Gerasimenko. He answered the question and invited all participants to cooperate.

League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine for many years has been active, thoroughly covering the topic combating insurance fraud and bringing to market experts to work on this issue within the relevant committees of LIOU. “Due to the economic situation the number of fraudulent transactions in the insurance market is growing. This process caused serious social problems in society. Therefore, the need, benefits and efficiency of data collection in combating fraud in insurance shouldn’t be proved to anyone “- believe in LIOU.

“LIOU always advocated the use of systematic methods of cooperation of insurance companies to prevent the offense. Combating insurance fraud is a common problem for all insurance companies. The insurance market cannot thrive in conditions where huge losses on insurers crimes actually paid by insurers, “- said President LIOU Alexander Filonyuk.

The round table was attended by head of the economic security of insurance companies, departments on claims handling, underwriting experts and others. League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine introduced Irina Denisova, director of information policy LIOU.
