20 April President of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine Alexander Filonyuk, Member of National commission on financial services markets regulation Zaletov Alexander met with Chairman of the state agency for energy efficiency and energy saving of Ukraine Serhiy Savchuk.

During the meeting was discussed the security in energy efficiency and energy saving and economy sector investment for the expense of insurance reserves in accordance with the rules and requirements of profile Regulation of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Regulation on mandatory criteria and standards of adequacy, asset quality and diversification insurer that approved by orders of National commission on financial services markets regulation on February 23, 2016 №396 and was registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on March 21, 2016 №417 / 28547.

President of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine Alexander Filonyuk noted that the worldwide problem of energy independence of the state, reforms in energy efficiency and energy is a priority for national security. The participants stressed that this area has great opportunities for savings, and the development of energy efficiency and finding alternative sources of energy will be the main priority for the Ukrainian economy. Today Ukraine is taking measures to reduce the country’s dependence on high levels of gas consumption and increase energy efficiency of housing – communal services. However, citizens can not solve these problems – need government assistance.

For the results of the meeting the parties have previously agreed to hold a round table with representatives of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, the National commission for state regulation of financial services markets and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine on discussion of important issues of insurance in energy efficiency sphere and other urgent topics.
