LIOU takes part in the Second International Conference “Free Trade: Opportunities and Challenges for Ukraine and partners”

1-2 December 2016 at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine in congress hall Chamber Plaza under the auspices of the National forum of export support takes place the second international conference “Free Trade: Opportunities and Challenges for Ukraine and partners.”

Filonyuk Alexander, President of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine moderated the panel discussion “What innovations are preparing public, private and international financial and banking institutions Ukrainian exporters and businesses in 2017″.

League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine constantly takes part in projects of Ukrainian Chamber commerce. During the financial and banking panel discussion, participation in which took part representatives of Finance Ministry and experts from international institutions, examined the involvement of capabilities of the insurance industry, liberalization of the currency market, access to new mechanisms and instruments of trade financing, fostering international cooperation between customers of different countries and discussed recent changes in monetary policy and financial sector development program.

In the discussion participated Shevki Adzhuner, EBRD Director in Ukraine; Jean-Jacques Soulakroup, investment advisor, European Investment Bank; Evgen Grebenyuk, representative of the World Bank; Michaylo Nepran, First Vice President of Chamber of commerce of Ukraine; Yevgeny Borodin, head of Centre for small and medium business, JSC “UkrSibbank”; Boris Sobolev, Chief Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukreximbank”; Valentin Balabanov, Advisor to the President of ICC Ukraine, head of the German-Ukrainian anti-corruption alliance and Anna Vinnichenko, a partner at law firm «WinnerLex».

The purpose of the Second International Trade and Industry Conference “Free Trade: Opportunities and Challenges for Ukraine and Partners” – a comprehensive discussion of the position of existing and potential agreements of Ukraine on free trade, namely the EU member states and CIS, Canada, since almost 70% of trade falls these countries. Also promising area of cooperation is the GUAM (creating so-called new Silk Road to Central Asia and China, Transcaspian Corridor (TRACECA).

The Conference discussed the current position of Ukraine agreements on free trade and state changes in the economic, customs and fiscal, industrial and investment cooperation, the issues promoted exports of industrial parks and the introduction of public-private partnerships.

This year’s conference brought together more than 500 exporters from all over Ukraine, representatives of higher authorities, foreign chambers of commerce, foreign businesses, diplomatic missions, investment institutions, leading experts in the field of financial, investment, financial and banking institutions and foreign delegation of the countries with which Ukraine has a free trade agreement. Overall the two days of the conference experience and their vision of cooperation within the framework of free trade shared more than 90 Ukrainian and foreign speakers.
