XIII International Carpathian Insurance Conference began its work
Date: 09.02.2017. Section: News LIOU, ActualXIII International Carpathian Insurance Conference, organized by the Business Strategy Center “Perspectiva” and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine began its work in the Yaremche city.
Opening the conference, Alexander Filonyuk, President of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, wished participants and guests fruitful and active cooperation in solving common problems of the insurance market and stressed that the International Carpathian Insurance Conference has become a professional platform where annually discusses issues and plans for the industry to subsequent periods. “I am very pleased that the tradition of the Carpathian winter meetings started 13 years ago by the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine and Business Strategy Center “Perspectiva” has the active support of the professional participants of the financial business in Ukraine. This year, participants of the conference were representatives of the insurance markets of Georgia, Israel, Latvia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Germany, USA, Ukraine, “- said President LIOU.
On the first day of the conference, participants will review the main theme of discussion “Financial Sector Development Strategy of Ukraine” where particularly discussed: state macroeconomics: condition and forecasts; mechanisms of regulation of financial markets in Ukraine; European experience and practices of the insurance business. The participants will review the legislative framework of the insurance business in Ukraine and a program of the National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets in 2017. The moderators and speakers of discussion are: Alexander Zaletov, Member of the National Commission for state regulation in the field of financial services; Olga Hurbych, Member of the National Commission for state regulation in the field of financial services; Tatiana Botsula, Chief Consultant of the Committee on Finance and Banking of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; Michael Vidyakin, Head of strategy and reform of the banking system of the National Bank of Ukraine; Michael Kuharonok, Director of consulting company (Latvia); Oleksandr Babenko, Director General of the Nuclear Insurance Pool; Alexander Zavada, Executive director of “Oranta”; Yuri Yefimov, Member of the Supervisory Board of IC «UNIQA Ukraine”; Sergey Avdeev, Chairman of the IC “Insurance Arsenal” and Alexander, Head of analytical unit of ICU.
The next topic of discussion on the first day of the Conference – “MOTOR INSURANCE IN UKRAINE: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS”. Participants will consider new trends of motor insurance in Ukraine; model assessment and claims settlement practices in Europe; basic requirements for risk management in motor insurance. Also will be discussed the issue of “Green card” European accident statement, direct regulation, electronic policy and new IT solutions in motor insurance.
XIII International Carpathian Insurance Conference will be held in the Yaremche city from 8 to 11 February 2017. Among the participants of this year’s conference leaders and representatives of state bodies, public associations and government agencies that are professional in the insurance market, leaders and top managers of insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers, investment, law firms, financial analysts and journalists.
