On February 15, 2018, the XIV International Carpathian Insurance Conference, organized by the Center for Business Strategies “Perspective” and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, began its work in Yaremche.

Address of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine with a proposal to launch a professional holiday Day of Insurance in Ukraine sent for consideration to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Commission for state regulation of financial services markets. This was informed in a letter to LIOU from First Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine V.Kovalchuk.
The National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets (National commission), reviewed the letters of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the draft Medium term plan priorities for government action until 2020. Proposals submitted by LIOU supports National commission and considers appropriate – said in a letter of National commission to League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine.
Life companies – members of League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine for the 1st quarter of 2017 collected 352.3 million UAH premiums. The total amount of insurance reserves for 1quarter 2017 increased by 14.3% compared to the same period in 2016 and amounted to 3.8 billion UAH.
February 15, 2017 the National Bank of Ukraine held a regular meeting of the Task Team reforms. Among the issues on the agenda was considered improving the quality of assets of insurance companies, further action after strategy session of special team reform, and project register of the updated draft Comprehensive program of financial sector development by 2020.

February 3, 2017 the State Service for Financial Monitoring of Ukraine, as part of the preparations for the 5th round of mutual evaluation of national system of counteraction to legalization (laundering) income proceeded from crime, terrorist financing and the financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe on the evaluation of Anti-money laundering and the financing of terrorism (MONEYVAL)was held a training for entities, governmental regulation and supervision which provides National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets.
31 January 2017 Council of Entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Fund of competition and the Federation of Employers of Ukraine organized and held a business meeting on the development of economic cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom in the context BREXIT and recent changes in world geopolitics. League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine at the event presented the President LIOU Alexander Filonyuk.
January 30, 2017 in KNTEU was held an expanded meeting of the President of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine Alexander Filonyuk with the management of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNTEU). The meeting agreed to update the format of cooperation in higher education and signing the Memorandum.
January 27, 2017 in National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets with the support of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine was held the Round Table “Collective security and information support of insurance companies”, devoted to defining the best ways and reliable tools to solve problems of insurance business relevant and reliable information.
