Ukrainian insurance companies saw a 19.9% rise in collection of insurance premiums on the policies of compulsory insurance of civil liability of motor vehicle owners (OSAGO) in 2015, to UAH 2.97 billion.
The Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU) reported that the total amount of insurance claim fee payments on domestic insurance contracts in this period grew by 10.1%, to UAH 1.202 billion.
The number of OSAGO agreements fell by 8.7%, to 6.826 million.
The MTIBU said that the number of claims on insurance payment fell by 10.1%, to 98,232 and the number of settled claims decreased by 8.4%, to 98,785, including a rise of 24.5% in claims settled via the use of the EU accident report form, to 12,700.
In general, UAH 1.089 billion was paid under agreements claims under which were settled (a rise of 11.4% year-over-year), including 78.34 million using the EU accident report form (a rise of 40.4%).
