13 квітня Торгово-промислова палата України спільно з Австрійським агентством «ABA Invest in Austria» та юридичною фірмою «Лавринович і партнери» провела конференцію «Україна – Австрія. Можливості для бізнесу та надійність інвестицій». Лігу страхових організацій України представив Президент ЛСОУ Олександр Філонюк.
Президент ЛСОУ підкреслив, що Україна і Австрія, маючи тісні культурні, історичні та географічні зв’язки, підтримують співробітництво та взаємодію, розвивають багаторічні дружні та бізнес – відносини. «Одним із підтверджень такого розвитку є той факт, що більш як 10 років тому, 7 квітня 2005 року у Відні Ліга страхових організацій України та Австрійський Союз страховиків (VVO) підписали Угоду про співпрацю та висловили своє бажання розвивати співробітництво в галузі страхування, залучати досвід австрійського страхового ринку, а також сприяти взаємному відкриттю ринків страхування обох країн», – зазначив Олександр Філонюк.
За словами Президента ЛСОУ, «сьогодні страховий бізнес Австрії в Україні активно представляють дочірні компанії австрійського концерну GRAWE – СК «Граве Україна» та «Граве Україна Страхування Життя»; Страхові компанії «УНІКА» і «УНІКА Життя», що входять до UNIQA Group; Страхова компанія «Глобус» та інші страхові компанії, що входять до Vienna Insurance Group (VIG)».
Серед основних питань, розглянутих в ході міжнародної конференції, – досвід виходу українських компаній на ринок ЄС; Австрія як локація для бізнесу – можливості для українських компаній; захист активів українського бізнесу з використанням юрисдикції Австрії; види інвестицій та привабливі інвестиційні об’єкти в Австрії. Також в програмі заходу розглядалися податкові аспекти австрійських інвестиційних структур, окремий час було присвячено питанням і відповідям та особистому спілкуванню учасників та спікерів заходу.

LIOU President stressed that Ukraine and Austria, with close cultural, historical and geographical connections, support cooperation and interaction, develop long-term friendly and business – relationship. “One evidence of this development is the fact that more than 10 years ago, April 7, 2005 in Vienna, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine and Austrian Union of Insurers (VVO) signed an agreement on cooperation and expressed their desire to develop cooperation in the field of insurance, involve experience of Austrian insurance market, and to promote the mutual opening of insurance markets of both countries “, – said Alexander Filonyuk.
Due to the words of President LIOU, “today the insurance business of Austria in Ukraine actively presented by subsidiaries of austrian group GRAWE – IC “Grave Ukraine” and “Grave Ukraine Life Insurance”; Insurance companies “UNIQA” and “UNIQA Life”, members of the UNIQA Group; Insurance company “Globus” and other insurance companies, members of the Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) ».
Among the key issues discussed during the international conference – the experience of the ukrainian companies to the EU market; Austria as a location for business – opportunities for Ukrainian companies; Ukrainian asset protection business using Austrian jurisdiction; types of investments and attractive investment properties in Austria. Also in program were regarded tax aspects of investment structures, separate time was devoted to questions and answers and personal communication of participants and speakers of the event.
Special guests of the conference – Austrian Ambassador to Ukraine Mrs. Hermina Poppeller and Ukraine’s Ambassador to Austria, Mr. Alexander Scherba.
