14 червня 2018 року відбулася офіційна робоча зустріч керівництва Німецького (GDV) і Австрійського (VVO) об’єднань страховиків та Ліги страхових організацій України, де було досягнуто домовленостей стосовно подальших напрямків співпраці.
В ході представницької зустрічі Олександр Філонюк, Президент Ліги страхових організацій України, Міхаель Брандштеттер, менеджер ЄС та міжнародним відносинам Австрійської страхової асоціації (VVO) та Франк Тірольф, старший менеджер зі взаємодії з країнами Центральної та Східної Європи (GDV) обговорили ключові події галузі, наголосивши, що ставлять на меті об’єднання усіх стейкхолдерів, пов’язаних із розвитком та функціонуванням страхового ринку України в умовах становлення економіки країни. Серед інших тем обговорення – інновації у страхуванні, кібербезпека, інвестиції, кадри та ін.
Лігу страхових організацій України представили Президент організації Олександр Філонюк та віце-президент ЛСОУ Романа Навальківська.
Угоду про співпрацю між Німецьким союзом страховиків та Лігою страхових організацій України було підписано у 2003 році. 7 квітня 2005 року у Відні Ліга страхових організацій України та Австрійський Союз страховиків (VVO) підписали Угоду про співпрацю та висловили своє бажання розвивати співробітництво в галузі страхування, залучати досвід австрійського страхового ринку, а також сприяти взаємному відкриттю ринків страхування обох країн.

During the meeting Oleksandr Filonyuk, President of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, Michael Brandsthetter, EU and International Relations Manager of the Austrian Insurance Association (VVO), and Frank Tyrolf, Senior Manager for Interaction with Central and Eastern European Countries (GDV) discussed key industry developments, stressing , that have aim at uniting all stakeholders, related to the development and functioning of the insurance market of Ukraine in the conditions of the formation of the country’s economy. Among other topics discussed – innovation in insurance, cyber security, investment, personnel, etc.
The League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine was represented by the President of the Organization Oleksandr Filonyuk and the Vice-President of LIOU Romana Navalkivska.
The agreement on cooperation between the German Union of Insurers and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine was signed in 2003. On April 7, 2005, in Vienna, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine and the Austrian Insurers Association (VVO) signed a Cooperation Agreement and expressed their desire to develop cooperation in the field of insurance, to attract the experience of the Austrian insurance market, and to promote the mutual opening of the insurance markets of both countries.
