LIOU President participated in the Forum “Ukraine – a country of entrepreneurs”

October 21 in Kiev started the first Ukrainian business forum “Ukraine – a country of entrepreneurs.” The forum was opened by President of Ukrainian union of industrialists and entrepreneurs Anatoly Kinakh and Chairman of PrivatBank Alexander Dubilet.

In the discussion “Prospects of development of small business in Ukraine: state programs and support initiatives” were the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tax Policy, Nina Yuzhanina, business ombudsman Algirdas Šemeta, EBRD Director in Ukraine Shevka Adzhuner, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on industrial policy and entrepreneurship Victor Galasyuk.

League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine presented at the ceremony, LIOU President Alexander Filonyuk. He noted that “the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine is actively working on finding and supporting new business referrals, and now the economy in Ukraine demonstrates the need to support the objective of these processes by insurance institute. “Insurance is an important factor to stimulate the economy, a necessary defense mechanism for new businesses that are not yet sufficient production potential and not piled own resources.”

“Insurance provides sustainable development and use of funds for the implementation of social programs. This is health insurance, pension insurance, citizen’s life insurance. Therefore, without the insurance business to talk about effective reforms in the country just impossible “- said Alexander Filonyuk.

The “Ukraine – a country of entrepreneurs” provides a series of business forums, including in the regions, and aims to promote a culture of entrepreneurship in Ukraine. The main objective of the project – to promote job creation, show working entrepreneurs and those who wish to start their own business, real possibilities and prospects for the realization of their ideas today, inspire manifestation business initiative and demonstrate practical tools for the creation or development of business.

The first business forum brought together more than 400 participants. Among the invited speakers at the Forum – Stepan Cubiv, Vitali Klichko, Pavlo Petrenko, Maxim Nefedov, deputies of Ukraine, leaders of public associations, business representatives of EBRD, USAID, other international organizations and successful Ukrainian businessmen, experts on business development and business trainers.
