On November 7, 2018, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine held a meeting of the Finance and Investment Committee. The meeting was opened by the President of LIOU Oleksandr Filonyuk, the moderator of the event was the Vice-President of LIOU Serhiy Tarasov.
On November 6, 2018, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine held a meeting of the Committee on Insurance in the field of tourism. Representatives of insurance companies «ASKA», «Inter-Plus», «Nico Insurance», «Persha», «PZU Ukraine», «Prosto-Insurance», «Providna», «Tekom» and «Ukrfinstrach» took active part in the meeting.
On October 31, 2018, the National Bank of Ukraine hosted a presentation of the White book “The Future in Regulating the Non-Bank Financial Sector.” The goal of the event is to start a dialogue with market participants on a new regulatory model aimed at making services of non-bank financial institutions more reliable, and the markets themselves are more attractive to investors.
Every year, in the last week of October, one of the key events in the world of insurance, the International Conference of Reinsurers, takes place in Baden-Baden. This year, the event accredited more than 3 thousand participants, including a delegation from Ukraine. These are insurers, reinsurers, brokers, consultants and industry experts.
The XVIII International Finance Forum, held in Odessa on September 12-15, 2018, completed its work. The event was organized by the Center for Business Strategies “Perspective” and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine.
A qualitative update of the insurance market legislation will only be possible if close cooperation and wide-ranging dialogue between regulators and insurance market participants are attended by international and Ukrainian experts, – said on September 13, 2018, the Head of the NBU Financial Sector Reform Department Yevhen Stepaniuk speaking at the XVIII International Finance Forum in Odessa.

One of the key elements of cybersecurity is raising public awareness of existing and potential threats.
On June 14, 2018, the official working meeting of the German (GDV) and Austrian (VVO) associations of insurers and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine took place, where agreements were reached on further directions of cooperation.
June 5, 2018 Kyiv City State Administration with CCI of Ukraine and Kyiv CCI held cooperation session and exhibition-presentation of industrial products “Made in Kiev.”
May 21, 2018 in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy with the participation of Olena Kovaleva, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine; Bagrat Ahidzhanov, Director of the Department of Financial and Credit Policy of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy; Alexander Zaletov, Member of the National Financial Services Commission, and Oleksandr Filonyuk, President of the LIOU, met to discuss issues in the field of agrarian insurance.
The volume of net insurance premiums collected by Ukrainian risk insurance companies in 2018 will amount to UAH 27.6 billion, which is 7.8% more than in 2017 (UAH 25.6 billion), such a realistic scenario forecast was made by specialists of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine (LIOU), based on the developed methodology of connection of payments with macroeconomic indicators.
Discussion of the actual problems and prospects of the insurance market took place on February 14-17, 2018 in the framework of the XIV INTERNATIONAL CARPATHIAN INSURANCE CONFERENCE with the participation of representatives of state authorities, insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers, investment and legal companies, experts in the field of economics and finance, domestic and international experts, the media.
